Scottish Ballet aims to awaken interest, ignite passion and foster talent by providing a broad-ranging access and participation programme which raises awareness and appreciation of Scottish Ballet and its artistic direction, promotes ballet as a contemporary art form and enhances the lives and learning of people of all ages and abilities.
“I am firmly convinced that dance is capable of transcending perceived barriers which can, at times, prevent the true meaning and potential of this most embracing of all the arts to reach a much wider public, and to enrich so many lives which might otherwise completely miss what we do. Through periodic re-evaluation of the work we present and how we convey this simply and directly to our audiences (and potential audiences), I consider Education to be a vital tool in supporting the bigger picture of what Scottish Ballet has become…………a vital force within the U.K dance community”. Ashley Page, Artistic Director
